You're invited to join us for a special two mile prayer walk. This is a special way to take some quiet time and be with God in silent prayer. While walking on a beautiful wooded trail, you can use this time to bring your most private thoughts and concerns to God . You may have a personal concern you would like to devote to prayer during the walk or perhaps a special request for friend or family member. Whatever is on your heart, you're invited to come and share this special time with God while quietly walking along a beautiful wooded trail.
We encourage you to spend some time during your walk to simply listen for the ever still voice of God. You might like to use the first mile to silently pray and then devote the second mile to listening for His response. There is no rules here - these are simply suggestions. Our goal is to simply create a time that will allow you to be closer to God through prayer.
We will gather together and open in prayer and then begin a 2 mile walk. You are welcome to bring a friend but walk in single file so that you will be less distracted to talk to one another and make it easier to focus on your prayer time. This is not a marathon, you can walk at your own pace and go as fast or as slow as you like. Walking is the slowest mode of travel and this is just a wonderful opportunity for all of us to slow down and enjoy quiet time with God. We are expecting great things and hope that you can join us!
This park is conveniently located in between Highways 360 and 121 between Mid Cities and Harwood Road.
